Every year the Flywheelers have three shows. Each one includes a swap meet,
parades, craft demonstrations, tractor pulls and lots of fun. People come from
all over the US, Canada, Mexico and overseas. Above you see a Case Steam Traction
Engine. It looks like an old locomotive with wheels instead of tracks. What
it is doing at the moment is running our saw mill. The large flywheel on the
side of the Case is attached by a long belt to our sawmill, and the result is
a lot of lumber to help our village grow. Later in the afternoon, the Case will
unhook and join our parade. In the evening, it will show all those little modern
tractors what it takes to pull 7000 lbs of weight -- the large steam traction
engine that could!

This is Morgan, our sawmill foreman with his REO Speedwagon.
On board you will see one of Morgan's sawmill blades
that has been painted with the Florida Flywheelers
logo. Morgan restored the REO himself, and sawed the
wood he used to make the back of the truck at his
saw mill. We were sorry that Morgan decided to go
home to the Lord in 2007. His family keeps the tradition
going at the club by maintaining his exhibit.
If
you click on the small logo of the Case steam traction engine, you will take
a tour of our show. This is a peek at some of the buildings in our village.
As you will see, there are lots more people and equipment around. The best part
is getting to see all of the restored machines, cars, and tractors - most of
which work.
