Florida Flywheelers Parade
Featuring Allis Chalmers - A Gathering of the Orange
Each Florida Flywheeler show features a tractor or equipment manufacturer.
Back in Feb. 2001, the featured tractor was Allis Chalmers, which is typically
painted orange. - I thought they should have called it "Allis in Wunderland",
but no one asked me. Our parade takes place every day of the show around 2PM
or whenever we can get everybody lined up. You are liable to see most anything
that moves too, not just the feature. Take a look at the pix below for a sampling
of our parade participants.
Our honorary parade marshall is Earl Galloway with his beloved chihuahua, Dinky.
Earl was at the Flywheelers most weekends as he lived only 10 miles away. He
gave a helping hand whenever needed, and was the source of many jokes and lots
of laughs around the campfire on cold evenings. Earl left us to go to the park
in the sky this July, not long after Dinky, so they are together now waiting
for our parades in heaven. -- We miss you Earl!
Since I am no expert on antique farm equipment, I will simply arrange the photos
from here on in, leaving you, the visitor, to ponder the many kinds and conditions
of farm equipment that there is in the loving hands of collectors.

More Allis Chalmers.

Half and Half = half Deere half Allis followed by a half Allis half Deere
If
you click on the small logo of the Allis Chalmers, you will see more of our
parade.

Note: this flashy thing takes
you off our site.
