Hi, I'm Dr. J. ... the SchoolMarm
I am getting ready for Thanksgiving at my son's place
in the Appalachian foothills of West Georgia. These
turkeys and pumpkin have no calories! I learned how
to quilt when I caught a really severe case of Rustosis
at Florida Flywheelers' Antique Village
. I started out with 2 sewing machines. Now I have
over 40 of them, some that I have restored myself.
I use my machines to quilt and make period costumes
for our public shows. We also have crafting
machinery such as spinning wheels, looms, Singer
Featherweights and foot treadle sewing machines.
If you like, take a look at how we built our one
room school house sawing the planks for siding
on our antique sawmill. Some folks think it is over
100 years old. Sure feels like it sometimes, as that
building has been through 3
hurricanes that ripped our roof right off. The
School house also serves as Hatquarters for our Red
Hat Society Chapter, The
Foxy Flirts of Flywheeler Village. Want
